(e)merge ART FAIR

Blythe,

For reals your kitchen looks amazing. So sunny and cheery. I agree with Lori, I wanna come over and sit in your kitchen all day and sun-dried tomato and pesto torta.

Yesterday day I went to the (e)merge art fair with my friend Elizabeth. I'm so glad she invited me to join her! I'm totally not up on the DC art scene, but I really enjoy it.

This is the second annual (e)merge Art Fair, a collection of galleries representing emerging artists from all over the world, but particularly the DC region. What's better than supporting local artists? The fair was at a hotel and took over three floors. Each gallery had an actual hotel room where they could take the beds out, change the lighting and play music, whatever they wanted to do to enhance the art and create an atmosphere.

Although most of the art was not in my price range, I thought it was very reasonable for the quality and to support an emerging artist.  A price point that I thought fitting for emerging collectors, too!

Here are some of my favorites. You can visit the artists here.

Miss you!
