So, D, I've got to share the pics that Nick and I took during our trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden over Memorial Day weekend. We've never been and it's was on our list for a while, so we were excited to be here in NYC on a holiday weekend with enough time to devote to a Brooklyn day trip. Little did we know we just happened to be stumbling on the Garden during the absolute height of the Cranford Rose Garden. From the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's website: "The Cranford Rose Garden has been one of BBG’s most popular attractions since it first opened in 1928. In June, when the roses are in full bloom, tens of thousands of blossoms cascade down arches, climb up lattices, clamber over the pavilion, and pose in formal beds. Here, in one of the largest collections in North America, over a thousand kinds of roses are cultivated."
So we're walking around and turn a corner to see this through a gazebo! Seriously...this how we approached the garden...
Whoa. Then our eyes got huge as we realized what we had stumbled upon! Hands down one of the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen.
Can you believe those flowers?! Yowza. When headed out it hit me...we were still in New York City.
