Yay for the powder room! I love the wallpaper idea and like the color choice on the bottom right. In high school, Brinie's parents had a powder room that had BRIGHT red wallpaper covering even the ceiling and I loved it. I used to go all the way downstairs to use it because it was just fun to visit. I am so excited to see all the developments on this project. Would you consider this your first full project in your new career (?!). I beg you to share all the details with us.
Speaking of new careers, I have some exciting news to share with you, and everyone reading! A member of the 75th + Sedgwick circle of friends has started a very amazing new business. You all remember my cousin, Emily, who was our first ever Phone-A-Friend? Well, get this: she and her mom have started their very own nursery design business!
So yes, they're called McDowell & Harding, and you gotta check out their site. Emily's mom has been an interior designer for over 30 years and is an extremely talented woman -- in fact, her creativity can even been seen on this here blog! She did all the adorable crafts for the "Goodnight Moon" baby shower that we hosted for Emily earlier this year. It's incredible to me that Emily, who we all know is super talented as well, is following in her mom's footsteps! Learn more about each of them here.
And check out some of their awesome work (some of which you might recognize!)
|Psst: This one I am particularly partial to!|
I think what I like most is that they seem to place a big emphasis on artwork in these rooms, don't you think?
With so many of our readers being new mamas, or mamas-to-be, I just had to share the news, and encourage you to check out their site. Talk about a great way to exercise those urges to nest (I like to pretend that I have a CLUE about what I am talking about)! Anyway, its just really freaking awesome to hear about a friend making a career move, especially into something creative (ya know, kinda like when D did this!).
Emily and Joan: we wish you all the best and can't wait to watch your new endeavor flourish!
