Shopping!

Blythe-

Happy Anniversary! Hope you guys are having a wonderful time in Hudson, I can't wait to see the gorgeous photos you are taking! A year and a day ago was one of the best days of my life, it was such an amazing experience to be able to share your wedding day with you and Nicky and to watch two of my best friends marry one another... looking out over the Statue of Liberty.

I noticed the other day that there is a 'Sam' in my cell phone contacts list. I couldn't for the life of me figure out who it was. It's been a long time since I got a random dude's number. Then I realized it's the driver from your wedding who took us from the hotel to Battery Gardens. I decided not to erase it, just a little memento.

While you are away on a romantic getaway with your hubby, I have been SHOPPING! That's right, I did it, I went shopping. Sure I've bought some items here and there over the last year, but since Spring 2010 when I was stocking up on bridal shower dresses and honeymoon outfits before my wedding, I haven't done very much damage.  That ended yesterday, here's a snapshot of what I got...

Jeans: Widelegger and Skinny from Madewell. I might trade in the Wideleggers for a darker pair, but I LOVE how high-waisted they are, just like my pretend Roma wardrobe.

I really want these dresses from Zara, but they didn't have them in my size at the Georgetown store, so I might try downtown this week. I think they would be great for any of the following events I am attending in the next month: Lil' Miss Christening, 2 Graduations and a wedding. Sure I could wear stuff in my closet, but what fun would that be!?

I've been experimenting with facial products. I've been using some products from the Arbonne FC5 line which I really like, but I wanted to try something new, so I dropped in Kiehl's and came home with....

My Amex somehow managed to exit Anthropologie unscathed, but boy would I love to get this new bedding. YUM to the EEEEE!

I did have some luck in H&M, but didn't see any of those gorgeous corals you told me about. The turnover is so quick there! I got 4 striped items including, a long beach dress, two tanks and a tee. Obsessed with stripes.

I know it doesn't sound like I did THAT much damage, but considering how little I've been shopping lately, I feel like I won a sweepstakes!

Can't wait to show you in person,

  1. I loved living vicariously through your mini shopping spree. It is almost as fun as shopping for myself! Good thing that seems to be enough for me so far, because I'm not doing much shopping in Nepal besides rice, lentils, and bananas (when mango season hits, though, it will be CRAZY). I wonder if Anthro would ship that bedding to Kathmandu?!

We sent a little blog love your way today. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/gkm1zn
