Glitzy, Blingy-Bling Weekend!

That's so exciting about Target! I had no idea. Remember roaming that HUGE Target we lived near with Dukester way back when? I definitely feel like I bought a new mascara and a random CD every 2 weeks there just 'cuz it was so cheap!

D, I gotta admit, I've had a pretty glitzy past few days! Talk about a 180 from snowshoeing! First up, the Oscar's were on. You are DEAD ON with those references. Hilarious! Sorry, but a scoop tank neckline in bright red really can only mean one thing. And are high pony tails a la Reese and Anne in?

Is it weird that this was one of my favorite outfits that she wore? I usually love Ms. Zoe's choices (who's name was clearly displayed during the credits as Anne's stylist for the evening--so clutch!). Anyways, while I felt there were no real surprises in terms of the actual award winners, I'm really happy that Natalie Portman and The King's Speech (finally saw it, loved it!) won for their respective categories. Definitely approve!

I gotta be honest... I had to TiVo the Oscars! On Oscar night I happened to be on a mother/daughter mini-vaca to Atlantic City. The group was me and my momma, Nick's mom and sister, and his sister's mother-in-law and sister-in-law (following that?)! And let me tell you, this trip was no Garden Terrace Buffet experience circa 2004... oh no, Harrah's is the real deal! I went to a Red Door Spa for a pedi, lounged by the fanciest indoor pool I've ever seen, and then saw some jaw-dropping Chihuly's at the Borgata. Blingy-Bling!

But before all that, the glitz really started when my mom met me in NYC Saturday night so we could travel to Atlantic City together the next day. She brought me all of our wedding china she'd been storing as well as the Waterford Crystal she's been collecting for me since I was 5 years old! We made a delicious dinner and dined with it all like it was Christmas day! I feel so lucky. I almost feel like I should eat some Kraft Macaroni and Cheese off the china just for a little balance!

Do you have your china in your apt? Have you eaten on it yet?

Ps- OMG Lil' Miss. Lil' Diva, Lil' Rockstar. Too adorable. It was set as my iphone background immediately.

Pps- Sorry about the lame/lacking photos! Once we upload some photos we took of the china in situ I'll be sure to post!
