huh?

D-

Tell me something. Do either of these women look old enough to have Greatest Hits albums coming out this year? I could see "Great Hits!" but greatEST? Yikes!

But um, yeah. I want both albums.

cuteness cont...

B-

Check out these wooden teethers from Little Sapling Toys. I'm thinking about getting some for the babies in my life for the holidays, including Lil' Miss? I think she would love the moose. Not only are they cute, but they're made in the U.S., unfinished wood so babies can gnaw on them AND LST plants a tree for every toy sold. Beat that!

Love,

cuteness

Hey D-

I'm seeing so many cute little kid gifts this year -- I think my radar is heightened because of our lil' miss. Can you stand how cute this would be for our mini Francophile-in-training? love,

(your fellow Godmommy...eek it's so exciting)

missin' u! (and some random thoughts)

hola,

I was super busy all day today and kept meaning to get in touch with you...

Anyway, here are some things I've been thinking about this week...would love to know your thoughts!

  • I'm seeing BRIGHT red lipstick on redheads EVERYWHERE. I sorta feel like a clown/Ronald Macdonald when I wear it... but I might be changing my tune. what do you think?
Every single winter without fail I say to myself "I'm going to start wearing bold lipstick out at night". It lasts about 2.5 weeks. max.

  • In other news, I want to make a banner/garland for the baby shower I am hosting in January. Please post instructions on how to make something as fab as the one you created for our onesie decorating drying station. Pretty please?

  • I saw something online that I love and that instantly made me think of you when I saw it. And I think you should ask for one for Christmas... so yea it's thing where you give this artist on etsy a list of your favorite books and she makes a custom painting for you:

Cool, huh? Ok, I guess that's it for now. I've been meaning to tell you about some really cool things I saw and did this week (kinda had one of those weeks where I remembered I live in a cool town), but that will be for another post!

love you,

Holidaze

D,

I am so ready for the Holidays! I start thinking about it waay to soon--but I will say the red cups seem a little ahead of themselves! I think those tree cards are ADORABLE. How many do you have to make though? whoa. maybe only for the VIPs? Is that bad? I loved the red-nose reindeer from last(?) year? You might be swaying me toward the Paper Source. Your track record is pretty amazing, girl. Also, so glad you completed your thank-yous! That is HUGE.

So, I already have my spreadsheet in full swing and have presents on the mind. Here's what I am most excited about in terms of xmas:

  • Our very first real Christmas Tree! I always prefer homemade ornaments (and we have quite the ridiculous collection...think binder clips and hemp), but I have been eye-ing the handmade collection from West Elm:

  • Buying presents like this from Etsy (this would also be an awesome wedding gift I think...always on the brain):

  • Buying my first xmas present for our Goddaughter! Let's powwow... some ideas:

In other news, I got the Land's End "Canvas" catalog randomly in the mail today. Um, awesome? Like affordable jcrew basics? My shopping cart is full -- yikes!

Holiday Cards Already?

B-

First of all, love your list. I'll keep my eyes peeled! Good tips on shopping too!

Starbucks already has their red holiday cups out. Oye! I was just dressed up as a donkey on Saturday for Halloween. We're already at red cups? I'm trying not to let this fact stress me out, but it did get my wheels spinning about the holidays. I also saw this holiday card linked from a blog and it made me laugh. How much does this look like me and Jefe!?

I was thinking that my Thanksgiving staycation would be a good time to get a start on the ole' holiday card front. I just finished (okay, I have a few more to go) our wedding thank you notes, do people really want to hear from us again?

We've talked about how photo cards aren't the answer for us. And you know I'll take any excuse to craft. I jumped on the Paper-Source website and found some cool ideas. Check out this list of 'recipes'. I think the 'Paper Collage Tree' is my favorite and would be fun to make. Thoughts?

Love,
